  1. This image was created using 3D Studio.  It is a 3D model with various
  2. texures and maps applied for the surface of the ship.  The image was
  3. rendered at a color depth of 256.  I did this because a 256 color
  4. palette is more universally available than hi-color (32K colors or
  5. above).  If there is a certain view of NCC-1701 someone would like see
  6. rendered drop me an e-mail at scotts@u146.nc.vp.com and I'll see what
  7. I can do.  (depending on lab time available)
